Alex Mak rumoured to be removed from TVB
25 Jun – Following rumours that Alex Mak Hoi Ching was suspended by TVB over his political stance, speculations emerged that the French actor is now no longer a part of the company.
As reported on Mingpao, rumours of his firing sparked recently, when tabloids noticed that his name was missing from the list of TVB actors on the company's official website.
Alex further fuelled the rumours when he shared a photo of him in his "The Exorcist's 2nd Meter" costume on social media and wrote, "I am very grateful for the support of the audience. I am very grateful for the support behind the scenes. No matter what the situation is, I will continue to destroy the demons of this world."
In another post where he shared a photo of a solar eclipse, he expressed, "Time to move forward. Stand up for yourself."
Back in May, it was rumoured that Alex was suspended from TVB after he was supposedly arrested last year in connection to the Hong Kong protests.
However, TVB Executive Virginia Lok dismissed the idea, saying that the company lost contact with him as soon as he went back to France in mid-November.
