Aldi Is Offering the Cheapest Price on Your Holiday Showstopper

Another reason to run out now to the store.

Oh, the notorious Christmas Dinner. How we love it. Not only is it a feast to be enjoyed together but it is one we like to take our time and prepare for. It is a special dinner being served during the most special time of year after all. And just anything won’t do.

However, we know a big dinner like this can be pretty pricey. But it doesn’t have to be. Many retailers have been giving us plenty of ways to save on the table this season, including getting 4-pound Rao’s Eggplant Parmesan at Costco for only $16.99.

Aldi has also been presenting some stellar dinner options at low prices, too— like a Butterflied Leg of Lamb, wink, wink—and now it has something else we can’t wait to serve on the table this holiday.

Aldi’s Specially Selected USDA Choice Bone-In Ribeye Roast

Aldi recently released its Specially Selected USDA Choice Bone-In Ribeye Roast for just $7.99 per pound. The average price of a bone-in ribeye roast can reach up to around $14.99-$16.99 per pound, so that’s not a bad price if we do say so ourselves. Just in time for your celebratory dinner this year.

A purported Aldi employee recently posted about this roast on a Reddit thread, saying “As an Aldi employee for a couple years, never had gotten one so finally grabbed a prime rib roast and cooked it up tonight, didn’t disappoint!”

Plenty of users were eager to comment on the posting, with many saying how “great” it looks while one stated how much they like the beef at Aldi because “it cooks up nicely.”  Another user went so far as to state, “Wow I work at a restaurant that does prime rib. This knocks it out of the park!!!”

If you aren’t familiar with the Specially Selected private label from Aldi, allow us to introduce you. This line offers more gourmet options, such as premium meats like this one, along with everything in between, such as bakery, snack, and deli options. Oh yeah, and even though these are considered to be “gourmet,” the prices are anything but fancy.

When fall hit, we made a beeline to the shelves to grab the Specially Selected Pumpkin Cream Cheese Frosted Sugar Cookies for $3.95. Then come Thanksgiving, we stocked up on the Specially Selected Brioche Stuffing Garlic & Rosemary for just $1.79 per box.

The Specially Selected USDA Choice Bone-In Ribeye Roast is just another good find at a low price to add to the list, especially during the holiday season as we pair it with a side of creamed onions and mashed potato au gratin.
