Aimee Chan attracted by Benny Lau's passion for films
16 May – Hong Kong actress Aimee Chan recently admitted that one of the reasons she decided to make her acting comeback with Benny Lau's new movie, "When Sun Meets Moon" was partly because of the latter's passion in filmmaking.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress, who shot the movie several months after giving birth to daughter Camilla, shared that she was initially contacted by the director about the project.
"I have always had the acting bug and he was passionate in sharing his vision for the project. I really liked [my character] Ms. Lo's determination in pursuing romance," she said.
Aimee stated that she could also see the same spirit Benny has in his previous sleeper hit, "Wong Ka Yan".
"As long as it meets my children's schedules, I would definitely take it. So I deliberately booked my flight back to Hong Kong early to start work," she added.
On the other hand, when asked if she will continue to work as an actor, Aimee stated that she will make sure to balance her life as an actress and mother.
"My husband [Moses Chan] is very supportive of my career. When I get a good role, I would try to make time for him as well. At least one of us has to be home to take care of the children. We are a team," she added.
