1 Jun – Adlin Aman Ramlie recently expressed hope that his new movie, "Malbatt: Misi Bakara" will earn more than RM60 million at the box office.

The actor, who spoke to the media at the launch of the movie in Mid Valley Megamall on 30 May, stated that the movie was made with the overall cost amounting to over RM20 million.

"If we're talking about the ratio of the ticket sales, and how the profit has to be divided between the producer and the theatres, I think we have to make no less than RM60 million," he said.

Adlin stated that the fact that "Mat Kilau" was able to make RM97 million meant that a movie is able to make a huge amount of money locally.

"If we're in the multi-millions, that would be good enough," he added.

The upcoming movie, helmed by Adrian Teh with the collaboration of the Malaysian Army and six other production companies, is based on a true story, in which 19 soldiers from the Royal Malay Soldier Regiment (RAMD), the most senior regiment within the Malaysian army, were sent on a dangerous mission to save 70 US Rangers trapped in the Bakara Market in Somalia during the civil war in 1993.

It also stars Fauzi Nawawi, Bront Palarae, Zahiril Adzim, and Hairul Azreen among others.
