Adidas Added a Wales Bonner-Like Silver to the Samba Sneaker and It’s Available Right Now
Since becoming the de facto “it” sneaker in the post-pandemic world, the Adidas Samba has undergone countless transformations. From Wales Bonner’s leopard-spotted pony hair renditions to Adidas’ own in-house experiments, the timeless model has been chameleon-like in its ability to adopt new looks. What’s even more impressive is that nearly every update has been a success at retail, a testament to the Samba’s versatility and staying power.
It will be telling to see if Adidas can continue this momentum on its next special Samba release, one which coats the upper in a metallic silver cracked leather upper and is arriving at stores now.

The Adidas Samba OG “Cracked Silver Metallic” is a new women’s-exclusive colorway which is reminiscent of Wales Bonner’s 2023 collaboration on the iconic sneaker. While not adorned with the lacy overlays of that collab, the recently released style features a similar silver metallic upper, now in a crackled leather finish.
Described by Adidas as “special enough for nights out but versatile enough to wear with your everyday uniform,” the new Samba OG style is already selling out in some sizes.
Adidas hasn’t been shy when it comes to giving the Samba new updates. In addition to the aforementioned Wales Bonner versions, collaborations for the sneaker have ranged from art-adjacent (Caroline Hu’s frilly, lace and silk-adorned styles) to tastefully mundane (JJJJound’s made-in-Germany makeup). And Adidas own in-line offerings, including leopard and cheetah-printed looks, have also been popular.
With a full colorway of “Silver Metallic/Cloud White/Core White,” this Adidas Samba OG is available now from adidas.com as well as select retailers including Solebox. Retail pricing is set at $100 and the sneaker’s SKU is JR0035.
