Adia Chan plays "female Sherlock Holmes" in new drama

6 Mar – After the positive response to her comeback drama, "The No No Girl", Adia Chan is back with a new series, "First Lady in a Dangerous City" (tentative title).

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress who appeared at the costume-fitting press conference held in TVB City recently, shared that she will play a female detective inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's super sleuth, Sherlock Holmes.

"I'll be playing the female version of Sherlock Holmes whose main duty is to solve crime. It's a different kind of character that I have never played before. There are so many lines to memorise!," she said.

When asked how the project will be different from "The No No Girl", Adia said that the previous drama was all fun, but this time, she will have to be serious all the time.

Adia will be working with her "Flash Fax" co-host Ben Wong for the first time in a drama through the new project. Ben plays the role of a butler who remains loyal to Adia's character.

The upcoming drama also co-stars Alice Chan, Tsui Wing, Jeanie Chan, and Kaman Kong.
