Adam Sandler Finally Found His Pippen: Timothée Chalamet
Confession: I was sick of watching grainy videos of Adam Sandler hooping with LA Fitness randos. If you have your PhD in Sandmanology, you know that the 56-year-old actor enjoys himself a run on the blacktop—and that he's pretty damn good. (Not only that, but he looks good doing it. Get yourself a point guard who knocks down threes in a baggy polo.)
That said, haven't you wondered: Who are these dudes and why are they worthy of Sandman's immaculate dimes? I certainly have. Doesn't the man have a famous—and tall(ish)—buddy or two?
Enter Timothée Hal Chalamet.
Due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, both men must have time to, actually do normie stuff, hence a beautiful sight: Willy Wonka and Howard Ratner throwing down on a Soho blacktop. And I've gotta say: Sandler has found his Pippen. I'm not writing that from a look-at-this-unlikely-celebrity-duo way, either—just watch the footage of them playing basketball, below. Sandler is still the Old Dude Who Dominates With Hoops IQ—zipping passes around—and Chalamet? The dude can dribble! He euro-steps! Because of course he can. Chalasandler looks Monstar-like out there.
Now, I'm not sure who the four other guys are. (Chalamet's friends? A few lucky New Yorkers? Paid extras for a secret Hustle sequel?) But by my count, the Laugh Brothers (that's awful; I'm working on the name) are three famous ballers away from fielding a real team. Zendaya's tall! And she was Lola Bunny. You'll have to fill in the blanks for me—but that's a celebrity team I'd actually watch.
