Ada Choi not joining new "Threshold" drama

28 Jun - Ada Choi admitted that she will not be reprising her role, or any role at all in the upcoming drama, "At the Threshold of an Era Again".

According to On CC, the actress who played the heartbroken Tin Ning in the original 1999 version opposite Gallen Lo and Roger Kwok, admitted that she was approached with an offer to film the new drama.

"They did contact me, but I had let my management company take care of it. In the end, we decided not to take it," said Ada, who added that the filming schedule is clashing with her own work.

On the other hand, Ada's past co-star Roger Kwok stated that the actress was previously offered to play his older sister.

"But she is very busy earning Chinese Yuans in the mainland. Now Niki is playing my daughter instead," he said.

The upcoming drama reportedly will also star Frankie Lam, Benjamin Yuen, Pakho Chau, and Linda Chung.

A grand jury in Massachusetts has indicted a doctor who is accused of sexually assaulting more than 200 former patients over a period of more than a decade. The patients sued Dr. Derrick Todd, who has been accused of performing unnecessary pelvic floor therapy, breast examinations, testicular examinations and other unwarranted procedures on patients dating back to 2010. The Middlesex District Attorney's Office said in a statement Thursday that Todd was indicted earlier that day for “two counts of rape alleging the sexual assault of two women.”
