This 1930s L.A. Bungalow Oozes With Modern Glamour, and It Can Be Yours for $4.3 Million
In the heart of West Hollywood, this near-century-old modern home offers a sophisticated oasis near some of L.A.’s most sought-after hotspots. Now, it can be yours for $4.295 million. Sequestered behind a large privacy hedge and a gated driveway, the low-slung bungalow at 385 Huntley Drive was built in 1936 with Hollywood Regency and contemporary architecture styles. It has since been pared down to a minimalist bungalow that spills out into a lushly planted courtyards.
Seller Leslie Klotz, a designer and PR executive who works closely with the ASPCA, purchased the home about six years ago for $3.6 million, according to records. Over the years, various improvements have included lightening the herringbone-pattern oak floorboards and revamping a small and dark home theater into a light and airy media lounge.

The single-level home spans 2,800 square feet and has three bedrooms and four full bathrooms. Inside, the entire home is flooded with natural light thanks to custom steel casement doors and windows, along with a giant skylight over the great room. The kitchen’s navy blue cabinets and black granite counters act as an anchor to the light-filled space, while the La Cornue range, Gaggenau and Sub-Zero appliances, and Waterworks fixtures make whipping up a snack or a gourmet meal an equally deluxe experience.
From the great room, steel casement doors open to the charming courtyard and pool, protected from the prying eyes of neighbors by towering palms and plenty of lush greenery.
