The 15 Best Photos from Prince William's Singapore Trip
On the last day of his trip to Singapore for the Earthshot Awards, Prince William got candid about how he perceives his role in the royal family. "Previously the family have been very much spotlighting brilliantly and going round and highlighting lots," he told reporters. "I want to go a step further—I want to actually bring change."
His desire to make an impact was evident during his visit to Singapore, where he was celebrating the third annual Earthshot Awards. The Prince of Wales spent time meeting local Singaporeans and learning about how local organizations "are working to protect and restore our planet – from tackling the illegal wildlife trade and protecting the rainforest to incubating and scaling cutting edge innovations," per Kensington Palace.
During the awards ceremony, which took place last night, William gave a speech. "The last year has been one of great change and even greater challenge," he said. "A year in which the effects of the climate crisis have become too visible to be ignored. And a year that has left so many feeling defeated, their hope dwindling. However, as we have seen tonight, hope does remain"

We want to continue doing more for this Mother Earth—and this Earthshot Prize can help us. We are planting millions of trees; and to plant millions of trees, we need a lot of help. "
