It contains obelisks and pyramids that were typical of Ancient Egypt. Also featured are Pharaohs’ tombs supposedly found then.

It has a white water raft system where riders on circular rafts are sent down sections of a river where the bed has a steeper gradient, causing an increase in water velocity and turbulence, with animatronic dinosaurs along the riverbank.

Documentaries, artefacts and recreated scenes take visitors through the fort’s history, and the tunnels are fun to explore. The Surrender Chambers bring to life 2 pivotal moments in history: the surrender of the British to the Japanese in 1942, and then the reverse in 1945.

Intended to repel a maritime invasion from the south, Siloso’s heavy guns had to be turned northwards when the Japanese came from the Malaya mainland in World War 2. The British soon surrendered and the fort was converted into a prisoner-of-war camp by the Japanese.

Admission to Fort Siloso is free.
