I fully blame my enemies-to-lovers enjoyment on watching You've Got Mail one too many times. Pride & Prejudice is perhaps the OG enemies-to-lovers novel. My girl Jane Austen knew what she was doing when she penned the story of Elizabeth Bennett, an intelligent woman living in the1800s who can't be bothered with marriage. She forms a rivalry with Mr. Darcy, a brooding and snobbish aristocrat. These characters go from being bogged down with pride and prejudices to being bewitched, body and soul. And I love it.
