Zul Ariffin is more selective in his projects
2 Sep - Zul Ariffin recently dismissed the notion that he was being cocky after deciding to be more selective about his acting projects.
The 37-year-old actor, who spoke to the media recently, stated that he is more careful in his choices of roles now so that he can give his best when it comes to his acting.
"I think even producers know what kind of roles they want to give me. You have to be more selective when you have the opportunity to do so. There are a lot of things you have to think through," he said.
Having starred in several action flicks now, the "Sheriff" star said that he has also started to reject offers to star in TV dramas like he used to do in the past.
"When you first started, you don't have a lot of choices. Maybe there will be no more Zul Ariffin who does romance dramas. I still get some offers, but I have slowly declined them," he added.
At the same time, he is happy that there are a lot of newcomers now who can replace the likes of him.
"What's important here is that they have to make a name for themselves and not just rely on social media followers," he added.
