Ziana Zain focuses on stamina for AJL 38
16 Feb - As the date of the annual Anugerah Juara Lagu looms near, Ziana Zain revealed that she has been working pretty hard in order to compete with other much younger singers.
The singer, who will be performing "Waktu" alongside Hasif Upin at the music competition in March, said that she has been focusing more on her stamina, seeing that she is now 56 years old.
"I have to be fitter and more energised since I am going to compete with these young singers that have more energy than me. I have to be at their level, which is why I have been doing cardio work three times a week," she said.
And while this is not the first time she was ever involved with AJL, Ziana said that she still felt nervous about performing.
"AJL is not only the biggest platform for composers and lyricists to show their talent, but it also opens a space for singers new and old to showcase what they can do," she said.
It is noted that Ziana last competed in AJL 16 years ago through "Dingin".
