Zhu Jiaqian leaves acting career after three years
26 Mar – After only a few years, Chinese actress Zhu Jiaqian announced that she is saying goodbye to the acting world.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actress, who made her debut through the action movie, "Return of Special Forces", took to Weibo and confirmed that she has terminated her contract with her management company.
"Even if I do movies in the future, I will probably just treat it as a hobby," she said.
The 26-year-old actress graduated from the Nanjing University of the Arts with a major in film and television performance. In just three years of her career as an actor, she has performed in many TV series such as "Zhe Ge Fan Pai Wo Bu Gan Le", "I May Love You", and "Love Behind the Melody".
In her post, she mentioned that she seemed to have lost the enthusiasm to pursue "a big career" that she had when she just graduated, and that she wanted to continue living in the way she liked.
Regarding future plans, Zhu said that she might return to the industry she was previously engaged in, or switch to being a teacher.
"Although all this is unknown, I will not be afraid. After all, life is a journey. Enjoy the moment. Brave people will enjoy the world first," she added.
