30 Mar – Chinese pop idol Zhou Jieqiong (also known as Kyulkyung) recently confirmed that she had seek a lawyer to terminate her contract with her management companies.

As reported on Epoch Times, the former IOI member shared the news on her official Weibo following statements released by both her Korean agency, Pledis Entertainment as well as its Chinese subsidiary, Xin Chan Sheng Shi Entertainment (PLEDIS China) that Zhou has sent them a termination notice amid negotiations between the company and a third party for an entertainment project.

According to Zhou, she decided to reach out to a lawyer on September 2019 to propose a termination of contract to both agencies as she was unhappy with the numerous serious issues throughout their cooperation.

"I wanted both parties to resolve it according to the law by ourselves and not to disturb anybody. But since it has already happened, I will face this and find the solution," she wrote.

Zhou added that she doesn't want to argue about whose fault it is, and would rather focus on working hard for every project that comes her way and not to let down those who love and trust her.

"I am thankful to the company for taking care of me in the past. I hope that all of us will become even better in the future," she added.
