Zhou Dongyu accepts Best Actress award from HK Critics

12 Mar - Zhou Dongyu is just ecstatic and honoured with being recognised as Best Actress by the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards.

According to Sina, the actress, appeared at the presentation ceremony to accept her award for her role in "Soul Mate", stated that the award is extra special since it was given by professional film critics.

"I am also thankful for the many people who were willing to help and helped put my name out there for more people to know," she added.

Zhou also promised to continue make better movies and work her hardest to give her best performance.

When asked if she is confident about winning the award again at the Hong Kong Film Awards after her recent victory and her Golden Horse win, Zhou said that she hopes that "Soul Mate" will win big.

Zhou also shared that she will give her full support for good friend and former rumoured boyfriend Shawn Yue, who is nominated in the Best Actor category.

However, when asked to address Shawn's new romance with Taiwanese model Sarah Wang, Zhou smiled and said, "This is a very good thing."
