Zhang Xinyu slams netizen for fake Hermès bag story
27 Dec - Zhang Xinyu (aka Viann Zhang) recently took to social media slamming a netizen for making up a fake story about her.
As reported on Sohu, on 25 December, a netizen claiming to be a flight attendant posted on Weibo that passenger Zhang had summoned her and ordered her to help place Zhang's Hermès bag in the overhead compartment, while reminding the flight attendant to be careful with it.
After the flight attendant's post went viral, actress Zhang responded to the rumour, stating that she rarely carries Hermès bags on planes, and that if she had ever done so, it would have been years ago.
"I never ask the flight attendants to be careful with my bag. This is not my character. I am not a cautious person," she posted.
She also slammed the said netizen, saying that the latter should not just make up stories so casually as it will end up on a gossip site, which will consequentially affect her.
"It is very irresponsible for you to talk nonsense like this. Don't underestimate my Internet speed," she added.
The post had since been deleted, but Zhang's statement "Don't underestimate my Internet speed" is now trending online.
