Zhang Xinyu announces marriage to non-showbiz boyfriend

10 Aug – Chinese actress Zhang Xinyu (Viann Zhang) recently announced that she and non-showbiz boyfriend He Jie have recently tied the knot.

As reported on Mingpao, the "Song of Phoenix" actress announced the good news via social media recently with a photo of her and husband showing off their marriage certificates.

She wrote, "I am a wilful person who often stumbles in her journey, and discovering many things to be learned in life. I once thought that if I am married, it certainly not because of age, not because of compatibility, but for only one reason - to marry for love."

It is said that He is a counterterrorism agent in mainland China.

Zhang, who never admitted to be in a relationship, first revealed He's face to her fans on social media on her birthday back in March.
