Zhang Xinyi shares experience having COVID-19 with the whole family
12 Dec – While most mainland celebrities wouldn't be caught dead admitting they have COVID-19, Zhang Xinyi leisurely told her fans that she and her whole family were down with the coronavirus.
The actress, who is married to actor Yuan Hong and have a 3-year-old son together whom they called Tuo, recently posted on Weibo her experience of being infected as a whole family - which included Tuo's grandparents as well.
"Let me tell everyone that I am safe, the whole family has successfully passed the customs from yang to yin," she posted. "The order of infection is: [my husband], Tuo, me, grandpa, grandma. The order of turning negative is: Tuo, me, grandpa, [my husband], grandma."
Thanking the neighbours for their help and the healthcare workers for assisting them through the situation, Zhang also shared tips with her followers on how to manage being in a household of COVID patients.
That includes, "allocate everybody's eating and resting areas", "boil green onions in water" and "take antipyretic medicine whenever the temperature is high".
"If you have any questions, you can ask me. In a word, don't be nervous. It's a self-limiting disease, it will definitely get better in about a week! I wish you all health and happiness!" she added.
