Zhang Han the biggest loser in China-Korea conflict?

29 Mar - After China's State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT) decided to ban Korean stars following the political conflict stemming from the launch of THAAD, many productions and endorsement agencies have had to make changes to their projects.

In some cases, these projects had to be cancelled - like Zhang Ziyi's upcoming movie, "The Mask", which decided to stop production after its Korean co-star Ha Jung-woo failed to obtain his work visa to China.

However, according to Tencent Entertainment, the biggest loser in this whole brouhaha is actually Chinese actor Zhang Han.

Sources claimed that recently a network published a list of 53 dramas involving Korean actors that will be off the air indefinitely, and four of those stated projects involved Zhang Han himself.

The four projects are "Braveness of the Ming", which he starred with Park Min-young, the modern drama "Gorgeous Workers" co-starring Choo Ja-hyun, "The Legendary Tycoon" with Go Hye-sun, and "The Rhapsody of a Summer Dream", which involves actress Go Joon-hee.

All of these projects were originally slated for 206 broadcast, but are now shelved without further notice.

According to sources, Zhang isn't just one of the actors in these dramas, but also serves as their producers. It was said that the actor have forked out a huge amount of money to get these Korean actresses to work with him in the said projects.

Zhang has yet to address the issue at the time of writing.
