In case you stumbled across recent claims that Zendaya was turned away from a fancy restaurant in Rome because she showed up in a crop top, that could not be further from the truth. The Daily Mail published a report on June 12 claiming that “Zendaya suffered an embarrassing moment” while chilling in Rome on Saturday when she was “refused entry to a swanky restaurant due to its strict dress code.”

According to the outlet, Zendaya was “turned away from the eatery due to her and her party’s dress sense” and was seen “looking unimpressed” while talking to staff before leaving the establishment.

So, what actually happened? Page Six spoke to Zendaya’s rep, who said, “This is completely false,” and went on to reveal what really went down. Apparently, Zendaya and her friends simply “realized” that they had previously eaten at the restaurant they showed up at, so they “left and went to another place.” In other words, nope…no crop top drama to be found here.

FYI, Zendaya arrived in Italy earlier this week for the opening of Bulgari Hotel Rome, which she attended with Priyanka Chopra (fun fact: Zendaya’s original outfit got lost in transit, so this Valentino blazer look was completely last-minute).

And last month, Zendaya joined the Citadel actor as well as Anne Hathaway for another Bulgari event in Venice, where everyone looked literally amazing:

So basically, she’s been living la dolce vita all summer!
