After announcing that its spring exhibit will be "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" back in November, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is giving us more details on how that will impact this year's Met Gala.

First, we have the co-chairs: Zendaya, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lopez will do the honors at the May 6 benefit event, alongside Anna Wintour. (This will be the Vogue editor's 28th year serving as a Met Gala chair.) Chief Executive Officer of TikTok Shou Chew and Creative Director of Loewe Jonathan Anderson will serve as honorary chairs for the benefit, as TikTok and Loewe are sponsoring the event and exhibit.

The museum and Condé Nast also announced the dress code for the evening, which will be "The Garden of Time". Vogue shared an image of the painting "The Old Gateway" by Thomas Edwin Mostyn as inspiration in an Instagram post.

This year's co-chair lineup is an exciting assortment of Met Gala legends. Zendaya's attended the event five times, and consistently places at the top of every "best-dressed" list. (Her presence will also tie perfectly into her already triumphant press tour fashion for "Dune: Part Two".) Bad Bunny has been twice, and made quite the impact both times (from a backless Jacquemus suit and floral train in 2023, and a head-turning Burberry trench dress, complete with gold-adorned bouffant hair, in 2022.) Jennifer Lopez is another seasoned guest, with 13 Met Galas under her belt.

The outlier of the co-chairs is Chris Hemsworth, who has never been to the star-studded fundraiser. (His brother, Liam, went once, in 2019.) The actor did potentially manifest this, posting a "Thor"-themed joke about his presence in 2022.

See you all on the first Monday in May!
