Zaki Yamani thanks "Famili Duo" for reuniting him with brother Yamani Abdillah

8 Feb – They might have won the "Famili Duo" trophy, but Zaki Yamani stated that the best part of being on the show was reuniting with his half-brother Osama Yamani aka Yamani Abdillah.

The 17-year-old, who performed alongside the 22-year-old Yamani on stage weekly for the past few months, stated that he had forgotten how close they were in the past, that is until they joined forces in the competition.

"When we reunited, I remembered the chemistry we had. The last time we were close, I was in standard two. After that, my brother went to an art school. But praise be to God, we got to see each other every single day [since doing the show]," he added.

Zaki is the son of legendary singer Jamal Abdillah with Fatimatuzahra from his third marriage, while his older brother Osama Yamani is Jamal's son from his second marriage with Noraina Yusof.

Yamani Abdillah and Zaki Yamani, known as the Yamani Brothers, became the champions in the second season of the TV3 show, besting other family duos Ayda Jebat and Fyna Jebat, Wanie Kayrie and Bella Astillah, as well as Sissy Imann and Naim Daniel.

The two performed a medley of SOG's "Pelukan Angkasa" and Akim & The Majistret's "Potret", as well as a medley of Floor 88's "Hutang", Altimet's "Bunga", as well as Syamel's "Kau Pun Sama", and eventually won the RM100,000 cash prize.
