15 Nov – Former heartthrob Yutaka Takenouchi surprised many recently by announcing that he will be ending his collaboration with KEN-ON, after 26 years of cooperation.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor announced the news via KEN-ON official website, saying that he will be officially departing from the agency on 31 December 2021 after much deliberation.

"During the pandemic period last year, I had the opportunity to reflect on my life and realised the need to change my environment after turning 50. I wanted to return to my origin and refresh with a new start," he explained.

At the same time, Yutaka stated that he is grateful to KEN-ON for all the opportunities they bestowed on him, as well as to his fans who have supported him through all the years.

"I know starting from the beginning will not be easy, but I will do my best to deliver something to my fans. I hope you will continue to encourage and support me," he added.

The decision had since sparked numerous speculations among fans, with some theorising that the actor may be getting married soon. The actor has turned 50 in January this year.
