Yu Xiaoguang denies cheating on Choo Ja-Hyun
16 Jul – Chinese actor Ethan Yu (Yu Xiaoguang) has recently denied allegations that he has cheated on his wife, Korean actress Choo Ja-Hyun.
As reported on Tencent, rumours of Yu supposedly having an affair sparked recently, when tabloids released photos and videos of him having fun at a bar with his friends before getting into a car with a beautiful woman.
He was also photographed with the said woman sitting on his lap inside the car, sparking shock among his fans and netizens alike.
Amid the backlash from fans in China and Korea alike, Yu's Korean agency BH Entertainment - which also manages Choo - released a statement denying his derailment and stated that the said incident happened back in May.
"The people who appeared in the video are close acquaintances who often travel with his family members," the company stated.
However, BH stressed that the actor would make sure to be more careful in the future so not to cause further misunderstanding. Netizens, nonetheless, remained unconvinced.
Yu and Choo have been married for four years since 2017, having met while appearing in the Chinese drama "The Happy Time of the Spicy and Hot Girlfriend" in 2012. The two have a son together.
