Yoyo Mung to star in her first sitcom

26 May - Hong Kong actress Yoyo Mung is set to make a TV comeback through an upcoming sitcom with RTHK.

As reported on On CC, the 42 year-old star, who attended the filming commencement ceremony for the untitled sitcom, admitted that she is excited to return to television and star in her first ever sitcom.

"I decided to accept the offer when I learned that the sitcom will be about the current events in Hong Kong. I have been paying attention to these issues, and I would like to become the voice of the public through the sitcom," said the actress, who has been quite inactive in showbiz since marrying movie star Ekin Cheng.

As for her role in the drama, Yoyo revealed that she will be playing an owner of a mini-storage facility.

The sitcom will also star Joe Tay, Richard Ng, Ai Wai, and Kiki Tam.
