YG Entertainment addresses rumours of G-Dragon's departure

7 Jun – YG Entertainment recently denied rumours that G-Dragon has left the building, following the likes of his fellow BIG BANG members Daesung and TOP.

Rumours of the rapper leaving the company sparked recently, after fans noticed that his name was not listed in the company's most recent quarterly report, despite the same list having its other artists like BLACKPINK and WINNER.

Responding to the speculations soon after, the company stated that G-Dragon is the only member of BIG BANG that is still with YG, but that his name was omitted due to a system error.

Meanwhile, several media outlets are reporting that the "One of a Kind" performer's contract has already expired and that the two parties are currently discussing various options. According to a YG rep, it was reported, should the performer wish to resume his promotions as a musician in the near future, they plan to negotiate a new contract with him and offer him the agency's full support.

It is noted that TOP earlier confirmed that he has officially left the group, while Taeyang and Daesung have transferred to YG subsidiary, THE BLACK LABEL.
