YG denies allegations of WINNER's Mino manipulating military leave
19 Dec – YG Entertainment has recently dismissed allegations that their artiste, Mino has been violating his military duty by manipulating his attendance records.
On 17 December, the agency released a short statement in response to the news first reported by Dispatch, saying, "Mino has been taking leave in accordance with the regulations, particularly sick leave for his medical treatment."
Dispatch previously reported sources' allegations that the Winner member received favouritism from his supervisor in Mapo District.
The singer also overused his leave, including taking a week-long leave and barely showed up at his social service work site following his return.
According to the regulations, social service agents are entitled to 31 days of regular military leave and 30 days of sick leave. However, they are prohibited from combining the different types of leave consecutively.
The Military Manpower Administration confirmed that they have launched a formal investigation.
It is noted that Mino is set to be discharged on 23 December, but that he might get his service periods extended if he is found to be guilty of manipulating the regulations.
