Yao Yuan-hao apologises for photo leak

1 Aug - Taiwanese actor Yao Yuan-hao recently expressed regret for the online leak of ex-girlfriend Cyndi Wang's private photo.

The actor, who admitted to have been the one taking the photo of Cyndi in her underwear back when they were still together, previously denied being the culprit who leaked the photo, and stated that he has no clue as to how the photo spread online.

In a long post that he wrote on Facebook on 27 July, Yao expressed his disappointment and regret for what had happened, and shared that the case is now being handled by his lawyer and the authorities.

Yao also stressed that the photo was not taken with malicious intent, and that it was part of a special memory between him and Cyndi.

He also extended his apology to the singer, saying that he will bear the brunt of criticism.
