Yao Chen denies involvement in "King of Comedy 2"
16 Oct – Chinese actress Yao Chen has recently denied reports that she is part of Stephen Chow's new movie, "King of Comedy 2".
As reported on Phoenix, the actress who was rumoured to be joining the cast, responded recently that she was only in talks about doing the project, but didn't actually take it.
"Due to the script and scheduling issues, the cooperation fell through," she said.
It is noted that the actress has been busy promoting her new movie, "Lost, Found".
Earlier, it was reported that the comedy auteur has begun filming the sequel to his hit 1999 comedy drama, "King of Comedy", directed by Herman Yau and starring mainland actor Wang Baoqiang, which is scheduled for Lunar New Year 2019 release.
It was also rumoured that Yao is involved in the project, aside from the new "Sing Girl" Jelly Lin Yun.
