Yang Mi wins Best Actress at Houston indie fest
2 May - Mainland actress Yang Mi was recently awarded the Best Actress Remi Award at the 50th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.
As reported on China Plus, the actress, who appeared at the event held in Houston, Texas recently, was honoured with the accolade for her role in "Reset", the movie which also received the Best in Show award.
Jackie Chan is the executive producer of "Reset", which tells the story of a mother who went on a time-travel spree to save her only son twice. It will be released in theatres in June.
The indie fest, which ran from 21 to 30 April, debuted 88 feature films and over 100 short films from more than 30 countries.
