Yamada Shintaro forgets to announce retirement

8 Jul – Japanese actor Yamada Shintaro recently surprised fans when he admitted that he has semi-retired.

And just forgot to tell everybody about it.

As reported on Nikkan Sports, the "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" actor shared the news online in an announcement about him leaving his agency.

"By the way, I quit my agency last year, and I've pretty much retired from the entertainment world. Right now, I'm having fun with my friends lol," he tweeted.

When fans took to the comments to express their surprise, Yamada replied, "I forgot to make an announcement lol."

The actor, who is the younger brother of model Yu Yamada, made his debut in showbiz as a model for 'MEN'S NON-NO' magazine. He then starred in his first series "Yamada Taro Monogatari" in 2007.

Among his films and TV series include "My Sassy Girl", "Innocent Love", and "Kamen Teacher".
