Xu Jinglei denies selling calligraphy works online

15 Feb – Actress-director Xu Jinglei recently made fun an attempt made by an internet user to sell calligraphy works using her name.

As reported on Epoch Times, the actress recently posted screencaps of two calligraphy works that used her name as the auctioneer, and wrote, "What kind of a lying website is this? So daring, and yet so ugly."

In another post shared on her Tencent account, Xu announced that she does not sell any of her calligraphies, watercolour paintings, or any of her artwork.

"If you find it being sold online, they are fake. I'm telling you now so that you won't be fooled," she added.

Aside from being a talented actress and director, Xu is well-known for her talent in photography, oil paintings and calligraphies, as she often showcased on social media. One of her calligraphy works can be seen on the poster of her self-directed 2013 movie, "My Father and I".
