Xenia Chong was suicidal after breakup with Steven Cheung
29 Jul – Model-actress Xenia Chong has nothing much to say when it comes to the recent scandal plaguing singer and ex-boyfriend Steven Cheung.
As reported on HK01, the actress, who dated the BOY'Z member from 2013 to 2016, admitted that the relationship ended because of a third-party involvement, but that she is unsure whether the woman in question was stage actress April Leung as recently reported.
April recently opened up a can of worms when she shared on social media that she was surprised over the news that Steven was getting to married to a "non-showbiz girlfriend", and more so to the news that he has a child with said fiancée.
The actress stated that she was still with Steven two days before he announced his upcoming marriage, and that they had actually rekindled their romance this year after a previous breakup. It also sparked speculations that April might be the third party in Steven's previous romance with Xenia.
When asked about it, Xenia stated that all she knew was she and Steven broke up because of a Taiwanese woman and that she knew nothing about other women in Steven's life.
"I once considered taking my life because of how heartbroken I was. It wasn't just the relationship. There were other things factored in as well, that made me feel like it was the end of the world. But now I think that it was stupid of me," she said.
Asked if she has anything to say to April, who was rumoured to be suicidal over news of Steven's engagement, Xenia said, "It's not just to her, but to everybody who has considered suicide. You have to think about your family that loves you."
However, Xenia also stated that she doesn't regret her relationship with Steven as there were definitely happy moments.
Meanwhile, following April's confession and a statement from a woman named Moon who claimed to have dated Steven as well, two more girls have come forward saying that they were cheated by the singer too, claiming that the singer flirted and borrowed a lot of money from them.
