Wu Xiubo tricks Ruby Chen into getting arrested?
25 Jan - Following her previous allegations about Chinese actor Wu Xiubo's infidelity, it was reported that actress Ruby Chen is now in danger of being imprisoned.
As reported on On CC, Chen's father recently shared the new development on his daughter's official Weibo account, saying that the actress was being sued by Wu for airing his dirty laundry in public, and that the actor has set her up so that she would get a prison sentence.
Said the elder Chen, the actor earlier demanded that his daughter clarify her previous allegations and tell people that it "wasn't true" and that he would pay her for it.
However, instead of paying the whole amount, Wu instead paid only a sum of it.
It was only when Chen returned to Beijing to discuss the remaining amount that she was arrested by the police, after Wu told the authority that it was Chen who was blackmailing him.
The elder Chen also revealed that the actor has refused to negotiate with him, with the lawyers saying that his daughter may have directly ended Wu's career in showbiz.
The issue between Ruby and Wu sparked in September last year, when the actress alleged that she had been his mistress for the past seven years.
She also accused Wu of controlling her and her career, while cheating on her and his wife with other women.
