Wu Jinyan elated to win Best Actress at Huading Awards

16 Nov – "Story of Yanxi Palace" star Wu Jinyan admitted that she was elated to win her first accolade at the 24th Huading Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who won Best Actress in the Ancient Drama category, enthused that she will cherish the award the most as it is the first accolade she received in her acting career.

When asked how she would celebrate her victory, Wu responded, "I would like to have a celebratory dinner with the rest of the team."

She also revealed that she is currently doing a new drama and will be returning to Shanghai soon to continue filming.

As for rumours that there will be a modern version of "Story of Yanxi Palace", Wu said that she has no information about such project.

"But I would very happy to work with the same team again if there is such an opportunity," she added.
