Wu Jing says "The Wandering Earth" will have third movie
13 Jan – With movie number two releasing this coming Lunar New Year, Wu Jing recently revealed that "The Wandering Earth" will have a third movie.
As reported on Sina, the Chinese star shared the good news in an interview with GQ, saying that director Frant Gwo will continue with the third film.
"I told him, I want a challenge on how he wants me to survive. Anyway, I don't know. I'll look forward to it," he said.
He added that Frant had worked hard to fulfil his sci-fi dream, and the accumulation of that hard work is finally showing.
Wu also spoke about his role in the second movie, saying that he made lots of new attempts in the sequel, including floating in space and fighting under zero gravity.
"It's very fun," he added.
Not much is known about the plot of the second movie, which will be a prequel to the 2019 hit based on sci-fi director Liu Cixin's short story. The film also co-stars Andy Lau, Li Xuejian, and Sha Yi.
