Wu Jing denies "Wolf Warrior 3" halted

13 Dec – Chinese actor Wu Jing has recently won Best Actor at the Huabiao Awards, despite ongoing rumours that he has been singled out to pay back taxes.

As reported on Singtao, the actor, who attended the event to accept the said award, shared that all the hardship and challenges were worth it now that he has been acknowledged for his work.

"This is a "heavy award". I am wary [of this obligation]," he said.

On the other hand, Wu denied rumours that the production of "Wolf Warrior 3" has been halted.

"Everything is fine. In the future, I hope to work on a series of new movies. I believe that the performance of "Wolf Warrior 2" will soon be surpassed," he said.

Wu made no comments regarding rumours of his rumoured tax scandal.

It is noted that the actor was previously alleged to be one of the 17 celebrities who have been targeted by the State Administration of Taxation for failing to pay the actual amount of taxes required. Sources claimed that Wu owed the government the most, as he only paid a small sum from the earnings of "Wolf Warrior 2".
