World Gourmet Summit 2017: 5 Events That Every Foodie In Singapore Needs To Experience

Back for its 21st year, World Gourmet Summit (WGS) 2017 is running from 20 March to 16 April 2017 with chefs from over 16 countries showcasing their creativity, as well as events open to the public such as whisky tastings, Masterclasses and special dinners.

If you’ve never heard of WGS before, it’s time to rectify the situation. Every year, the organisers bring in chefs from all around the world to put on a display of their culinary prowess.

It’s not just foreign chefs either; homegrown talents like Chef Petrina Loh from Morsels also take part in WGS by hosting dinners in their restaurants.

Here are five events at this year’s WGS that people who are looking for an unforgettable dining experience should check out:

Gin & Fermentation is a one night only dinner event that Chef Petrina Loh from Morsels is hosting, along with Paper Lantern Distillery, Proof & Co and Gain Brands Premium Gin. As a gin lover, this excites me greatly.

I’m always up for trying interesting gins and this promises to be a dinner where you’ll get innovative dishes paired with gins infused with things like camomile and yoghurt.

Even though there are two seatings on 13 April – the first at $148 and the second at $168 – there are limited tickets available so get yours as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
