Wong Yee Kam shares experience with haematoma

6 May – TVB actress Wong Yee Kam recently assured that she is doing much better now following her previous brain surgery.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who spoke about her battle with cerebral haematoma half a year ago, shared that she found out about her condition after returning to Hong Kong from a trip with a friend.

"I was sitting in business class, and was having a champagne when I felt a little dizzy," she said.

Following a fainting spell, Wong decided to have a check-up at the hospital, where she was told by the doctor that she had a ticking time bomb in her brain and that she needed to undergo surgery as soon as possible.

Said Wong, she even wrote a will prior to her surgery, as she was worried that she wouldn't have survived it.

Although she has survived her minimally invasive surgery, the actress admitted that she still goes for a regular check-up and is now paying a lot more attention to her health and diet.

"It was a big fortune in misfortune this time. Usually, you wouldn't know it. If it wasn't because I fainted, I wouldn't have found it and save my life," she said.
