Wong Mei Ki to go to South Korea for performing lessons
13 Mar - Television actress Wong Mei Ki (also known as Meiki Wong) previously sparked speculations of marriage when she shared online that she has something important to announce soon.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke to the media at a mall event recently, finally clarified her previous post, and shared that she is to travel to South Korea at the end of year to begin her training to be a versatile artiste.
Wong shared that she recently met a Korean producer, who suggested that she should come to South Korea to experience the local life, and take lessons in singing and dancing.
"I will be staying there depending on my development. It may take a few months, maybe a year or so. But I wouldn't stay too long, since I still have to take account my work in Hong Kong," said Wong.
When asked if she has talked to boyfriend Ray Chung about it, Wong said that the singer has expressed his support for her.
"Fortunately, South Korea is not that far away from Hong Kong," she added.
As to whether her decision will delay their marriage plans, Wong said that the possibility is high, although stressed that she has no plans to get married so soon when she has yet to make a breakthrough in her career.
