Wong Cho Lam has yet to pick Chinese name for daughter
27 Dec – Hong Kong comedy actor Wong Cho Lam was all smiles when approached by the media at his new stage play - his first project since becoming a father to baby daughter Gabrielle.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who happily talked about his newborn, proudly revealed that he didn't miss his girl's birth and was there with wife Leanne Li during childbirth.
"I only cut the umbilical cord symbolically, as the doctor already cut it during surgery," he said.
Wong also shared that the two of them have yet to choose a Chinese name for Gabrielle.
"The English name was chosen by my wife. It is the name of an angel. But when she was in the womb, the baby was kicking and being all happy whenever she hears music, so we may choose a name related to that," he said.
The actor also stated that he will go through with his promise to bring Leanne to Japan after her confinement period so that she could enjoy eating sushi as much as she can.
"We are fortunate to have a lot of relatives and helpers to assist in taking care of the baby so that we could travel the world," he said.
Asked how Leanne is doing, Wong responded, "She is very happy. She enjoys taking care of the baby. She is a good mother. I didn't marry the wrong wife."
