Wonder Woman Original Artwork Up for Bid, Proceeds Go to Children’s Hospital

An original piece of Wonder Woman artwork drawn by comic book legend Jim Lee is up for bid.

Lee illustrated the iconic D.C. superheroine exclusively for Variety’s “Power of Women” issue in honor of Wonder Woman’s 75th anniversary.

This Wonder Woman original artwork was published in Variety, Vol 333, No. 14 for their October 11, 2016 issue as a feature Power of Women illustration and exclusive newstand print.

Wonder Woman stands tall and proud in the 11×17 print, sword and shield in hand.

You can bid on the one-of-a-kind piece of art at https://www.charitybuzz.com/WonderWoman.

Bidding ends Nov. 3. The auction is to support Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

“The most important thing about drawing a character like Wonder Woman — who is so iconic, so well known — is really capturing the emotional state of the character,” the artist explained. “Trying to represent visually the things she stands for: power, equality, strength, wisdom.”

You can watch Jim Lee’s creation come to life in an exclusive video here and learn more about the artist and the iconic hero below.
