New Women’s-Exclusive Air Jordan 11 Retro Set for Holiday 2025 Launch

After reports of two holiday 2025 Air Jordan 11 Retro releases — the return of 2013’s “Gamma Blue” and a brand new “Rare Air” colorway —  were shared last week, a third iteration is said to be joining the lineup.

The third Air Jordan 11 Retro colorway reportedly scheduled for holiday ’25 is a women’s-exclusive “Sail” take on the shoe. With a full colorway of “Sail/Pearl Grey/White/Metallic Silver,” the new look will dress Michael Jordan’s 11th signature sneaker in a combination of soft shades, although in-hand images of the upcoming pair aren’t yet available.

In lieu of a physical look, @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files shared a speculative mock-up image of what the sneaker could potentially look like. The pair is expected to feature a mix of light cream shades including across its signature patent leather mudguard.

Women’s Air Jordan 11 Retro holiday releases have been a staple of Jordan Brand’s output in recent years and are often issued in November. 2024 saw the launch of the “Bred Velvet” Air Jordan 11, while 2023 featured a “Neapolitan” colorway and 2022 had another velvet style in “Midnight Navy.” Other holiday women’s Air Jordan 11 Retros include 2021’s “Animal Instinct,” 2019’s “Vast Gray/Silver,” and 2018’s “Olive Lux.” And in 2016 and 2017, Jordan Brand released grade school “Heiress” Air Jordan 11s in maroon and black, respectively.

The Air Jordan 11 was first released in 1995 and was designed by Tinker Hatfield, who was responsible for many of Nike and Jordan’s most important sneaker designs. It was created during a period of uncertainty surrounding the Air Jordan line after its namesake athlete retired from basketball for a brief baseball career. Hatfield, convinced the line had established its place in the industry, decided to create the new model whether or not Jordan returned to the court.

“My impression was that in the marketplace, he had already transcended the sport and it didn’t matter. It didn’t matter as much if he was playing or not,” Hatfield said in a Nike press release.

Following the women’s-exclusive “Bred Velvet” release, there’s another Air Jordan 11 Retro set to arrive before the end of the year. The “Legend Blue” (aka “Columbia Blue”) colorway worn by Jordan during the 1996 NBA All-Star Game will be released Dec. 14 from SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers for $230.

As for the upcoming women’s “Sail” Air Jordan 11, the sneaker is set to launch during holiday ’25 for a retail price of $230. This story will be updated with official details.
