This Woman Refused Her Boyfriend’s Proposal At The 'Eras' Tour For One Good Reason
They're the lyrics you just can't help but sing along to: 'Marry me Juliet, you'll never have to be alone.' And while to many they're merely a cue for singing at the top of your lungs, to others they're the perfect moment for a proposal.
So far on Taylor Swift's Eras tour there have been a handful of proposals that have been coordinated with either the performance of 'Love Story' or 'Enchanted', many of which Swift herself has noticed and generously drawn the audience's attention to.

One lucky woman, however, who didn't feel enchanted being proposed to at the Eras tour was Louisa Melcher, who refused her boyfriend's proposal, and took to her more than 500,000 TikTok followers to explain the reason behind her rejection.
'I just wanted to set the record straight,' Melcher says in the video. 'I was not saying "no" to the man, my boyfriend is the love of my life, I'm gonna marry him. But I say saying no to the proposal if that makes sense because it just wasn't specific to me. The location, for example, being Liverpool has no significance to me. And I was like did you literally just fly me here because it's the cheapest tour date?'
Melcher then added, 'I know people are going to hate me for this, but I'm not a huge Taylor Swift fan. Like I didn't even have the song he proposed to me to saved in my Spotify. He proposed to "Love Story" and I was like did you just pick this because a lot of people on TikTok have done it?'
Indeed, the video-sharing app is awash with people proposing to their significant others to the tune of 'Love Story', with the most popular by @stephsquats having been viewed more than five million times.
