The woman who received an anonymous donation to help pay for her IVF treatment has just found out that it was George Michael who gave her the money.

Following his sad passing on Christmas day, stories that George Michael had been anonymously performing touching acts of charity to help others began to emerge.

The flood of charity work was announced following British TV presenter Richard Osman’s tweet revealing that George Michael had anonymously donated £15,000 to a contestant on the popular game show Deal or No Deal after she said that she had gone on the show to help find some money to support her IVF treatment.

Somehow, George Michael found out about the woman’s needs and he donated the money.

“A woman on ‘Deal Or No Deal’ told us she needed £15k for IVF treatment. George Michael secretly phoned the next day and gave her the £15k,” Osman revealed.

Well, thanks to Osman’s tweet, it seems that the woman in question has just discovered that it was George Michael behind her anonymous donation.

According to the Indy100, Lynette Gillard from Bolton, England, appeared on Deal or No Deal back in 2008 and it was her who received the donation of £15,000 from an anonymous source.

Well, after seeing Osman’s tweet, Gillard responded in a now deleted post saying that she had always wondered where the money had come from, and she even replied to Osman’s tweet.

“For many years I wondered who donated this money,” she wrote on Twitter, “and now I know. Thank you. RIP George what an amazing person.

While representatives for Deal or No Deal refused to confirm whether it was Michael who had donated the money, the story is just one of many alleged moments of the singer’s generosity.

As we previously noted, it’s going to be almost impossible to 100% confirm the stories as Michael obviously wanted to keep the acts private. However, the amount of stories coming out seem to signal that he was a generous, kind, and loving person who wanted to help others.

Regardless, this story is warming our hearts and we love that, if true, Gillard can now pay tribute to the man who helped her when she was in need.

RIP George Michael, you will truly be missed.
