William Hsieh wins Best Actor at 24th Asian Television Awards
13 Jan – Taiwanese actor William Hsieh has recently been named Best Actor at the 24th Asian Television Awards.
As reported on Epoch Times, the actor, who attended the event held in Manila recently, bested other contenders like China's Deng Lun and Thailand's Korapat Kirdpan to win the said award for his performance in the TVBS' drama, "First Love".
Speaking to the media about the victory, William humbly stated that he was just lucky to win, though happy to accept it.
"I can't take all the credits. This is the effort of all the cast and crew," he added.
In his speech, the actor also expressed similar notion, saying modestly, "I am not better, I am just luckier."
However, aside from Michael, none of the other nominees from Taiwan succeeded in bringing home any accolades, Liang Shu-han, who won the Golden Bell Awards for Best New Actress last year through "Girl's Power".
