White Was Trending on the Grammys 2024 Red Carpet: Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo and More Stars Who Sported Snowy Shades

Winter whites were all the rage on the red carpet at the Grammys on Sunday in Los Angeles. Stars including Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo and Madison Beer all opted for colorless looks, proving that snowy shades are poised for popularity this season.

White has been a particularly popular color among designers and celebrities in recent months, with labels like Jil Sander, Chloé and Gucci favoring monochromatic designs. Ivory hues were also trending on the red carpet at the Golden Globe Awards in January, with stars including Riley Keough, Keri Russell and Lily Gladstone opting for pared-down palettes.

Taylor Swift

Swift’s strapless Schiaparelli gown featured delicate draping and a sultry thigh-high slit. The “Karma” singer accessorized with black opera gloves and peep-toe heels, as well as a suite of diamond jewelry from Lorraine Schwartz.

Boygenius

Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker of alt-rock supergroup Boygenius coordinated in matching Thom Browne suits adorned with floral appliques. The trio added on black accessories including ties, socks and patent leather lace-up shoes.

Summer Walker

Evoking Audrey Hepburn’s Ascot ensemble in “My Fair Lady,” Summer Walker made a dramatic entrance in a strapless gown and oversize wide-brim hat by Usama Ishtay, which were both covered in sequins and feathers.

Olivia Rodrigo

Rodrigo’s vintage Versace frock, which came from the Italian label’s spring 1995 collection, featured a gradient pattern of red beads, sheer sequins and straps adorned with metal rings. The singer accessorized with diamond and ruby stud earrings, as well as a large blue sapphire cocktail ring.

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson paired her floor-length, off-the-shoulder Jason Wu gown with a matching box clutch. The singer’s suite of Jared Atelier diamond jewelry included drop earrings, layered bangles and rings.

Madison Beer

Madison Beer wore a custom Marmar Halim gown featuring a strapless neckline, corseted bodice and a voluminous skirt. The singer also added on white gold and diamond stud earrings by Jewels Aficionado.

Kat Graham

Kat Graham’s geometric gown came from Stéphane Rolland’s fall 2023 couture line. Featuring a high neckline, cutouts and matching elbow-length gloves, Graham’s frock also came complete with a floor-length train.

The 2024 Grammys, held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 4, celebrates the biggest artists, albums and songs of the year. Hosted by comedian Trevor Noah, the 66th annual ceremony features performances from Billie Eilish, SZA, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, among others. The Recording Academy will also present Lifetime Achievement Awards to Donna Summer, N.W.A., Tammy Wynette and Gladys Knight.
