Get ready for the weekend, because a slew of concerts, festivals and other activities are set to take place.

1. Sting – “57th & 9th” Singapore concert
One of the world’s best-selling music artists of all time, Sting is bringing his latest “57th & 9th” tour to Singapore this weekend. “57th & 9th” is Sting’s first rock/pop album in over a decade. The concert will also feature special guest performers such as Joe Sumner, The Last Bandoleros and a three-piece band composing of Sting’s long-time guitarists Dominic Miller, Josh Freese and Rufus Miller.

2. Army Open House
The Army Open House returns to Singapore after a five-year hiatus. Visitors can expect mix of exhibitions, performances, battle rides, interactive games and activities as well as an array of food and drinks stalls to keep the whole family entertained. Besides the main event taking place this weekend, visitors can also visit the Army Open House @ Heartland at Punggol and Jurong East from 2-4 June and 9-11 June, respectively.

3. Singapore International Children’s Film Festival
The 7th edition of the Singapore International Children’s Film Festival is back, with seven collections of short films for children aged two to 18. Look forward to an array of films for all ages, such as ‘Small and Mighty’ for children between the ages of two and six years old, or ‘Family Ties’ for older kids from nine to 18 years.

4. Outdoor Yoga & Movie Night at The Projector
Catching a movie can be quite a sedentary activity, but not this time. Do some outdoor yoga at The Great Escape bar, and relax with a movie afterwards at The Projector. The cinema will be playing neo-noir mystery film “Blue Velvet”, about a mysterious nightclub singer and a group of psychotic criminals.

5. Bullet Dumas: Bakasyon Gig in SG 2017
Filipino indie musician Bullet Dumas is returning to Singapore to perform his first solo performance. Bullet Dumas will also be joined by Singapore-based indie performer Benjie Remorin.

6. AIR – Live in Singapore
One of the most influential electronic acts of the 2000’s, French electronic duo AIR will be making its debut live performance in Singapore this Saturday. The duo rose to prominence with their sensual atmospheric sound, and have provided the soundtrack to cult films such as Sofia Coppola’s “The Virgin Suicides”.

7. Y & Z at The Company of Cats
Jam along with local indie Mandarin music at Over The Moon’s the second installment of Monthly Mewsic Series. Look forward performances from indie Singaporean singer-songwriter Yokez and singer-guitarist and dancer Zerlene.

8. Evocation 2017: The Art of Giving
Non-profit choral group EVOKX is celebrating its 7th anniversary with its annual concert series, this year titled ‘Evocation 2017: The Art of Giving’. The concert will feature performances by Anglican High School, CHIJ Katong Convent, Nanyang Junior College, Pioneer Junior College and The Pioneer Voices. In line with the group’s mission to promote the spirit of giving, the concert’s chosen beneficiary is The Red Pencil, a charity that offers creative and clinical art therapy services to 55 organisations in Singapore.

9. Russell Howard – Round the World Live in Singapore
One of Britain’s most successful comedians, Russell Howard, is bringing his biggest comedy tour to Singapore for the first time. Howard is the writer and star of BBC’s most popular entertainment show “Russell Howard’s Good News” and has also hosted two series of Russell Howard’s Stand up Central on Comedy Central.

10. Conversations: Stelarc with Steve Dixon
Two of the pioneers of art and technology will come together for one afternoon as part of the opening program of HUMAN+ – The Future of Our Species at the ArtScience Museum. Visitors can look forward to Dixon’s presentation on artists working with technology and Stelarc’s lecture about his work with technology to explore alternate interfaces with the human body.

11. What’s Done is Done

12. Geronimo Stilton Live in the Kingdom of Fantasy

13. Multiply: A Majestic Playground
Multiply: A Majestic Playground is a pop-up experience of unique experiences through 30 rooms of the New Majestic Hotel. Visitors can expect over 50 of Singapore’s most inspiring artists, designers, craftsmen and chefs showcasing their craft, including a grander version of the famous golden staircase by local artist Dia.
